IBICON Company presents you information about the requirements for the development and drawing up of Technological Charts for shipboard operations.
A Technological chart is a normative document that specifies instructions and sequence of actions when performing any work (task), technical process or maintenance of an object, as well as requirements to the quality of work.
International and national requirements, including state standards for occupational health and safety, are taken into account when developing a Technological chart.
Technological charts may be prepared for any types of shipboard work, but first of all, charts should be developed for labour-intensive and dangerous work (mooring operations, work at heights, work in tanks, etc.).
The technological chart contains:
- general information on the object where the work is performed;
- brief content of the work;
- number of participants, their arrangement at the workplace;
- sequence of individual operations;
- safety requirements when carrying out the work.
For clarity, the technological chart may contain drawings illustrating the design features of technical means or the technology of work performance.
Technological charts are signed by ship crew members responsible for ship operations and approved by the ship's captain.
Availability of technological charts on board ships, as well as compliance of ship crew actions with them is checked:
- by internal auditors during internal inspections of the SMS;
- external auditors and PSC inspectors;
- transport prosecutor's office.
IBICON offers you the development and preparation of Technological charts in accordance with the requirements of national and international documents.
